We create small-batch, soy candles and share our creative journey through our digital showroom at https://heir.se (the "Website"). The Website serves both as an editorial-style showcase and, from time to time, as a place where you can request or purchase our products.
By accessing or using the Website, including browsing, submitting an inquiry, or placing an order, you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions (the "Terms"). If you do not agree, please do not use the Website.

2. Nature of Service
E:KO ᛟ HEIR operates as a creative showroom, brand experience platform, and small-scale online storefront. Through the Website we:
showcase our handcrafted candle collections and limited runs
share our creative process, philosophy, and brand story
build community around craftsmanship, slow living, and intimate interiors
occasionally offer products for sale, either:
directly through the Website (e.g. via forms), or
through email-based or message-based order processes ("slow commerce" orders)
The Website is not a mass-market e-commerce platform. Availability is limited, and many products are produced in small batches or for specific collaborations.
3. Eligibility
To place an order, you must:
be at least 18 years old (or the age of legal capacity in your country), and
have the legal capacity to enter into a binding contract.
By placing an order, you confirm that this is the case.
For the purposes of these Terms:
- “Consumer” means a natural person acting for purposes wholly or mainly outside their trade, business, craft, or profession.
- “Business Customer” means any customer who is not a Consumer, including legal entities and individuals purchasing for professional or business purposes (for example, studios, boutiques, hotels, or agencies).
4. Products, Descriptions & Variations
Our products are handcrafted aromatic candles and related items (such as wax melts, accessories, or future formats) produced in small batches.
We take care to describe and photograph them accurately, but:
minor variations in colour, texture, or finish are normal for handcrafted products
scent perception is subjective and can vary between individuals and spaces
burn time is approximate and depends on conditions (room size, drafts, wick trimming, etc.)
Scent names and families (for example QUILL LEATHER — gleaming leather, moonlit library) are our original creative expressions. We are not affiliated with or endorsed by any designer fragrance brands. Nothing on the Website should be interpreted as offering "dupes" or imitations of third-party fragrances. Our candles are original blends inspired by scent families, not copies of any specific perfume.
5. Showroom Browsing vs. Orders
You may use the Website:
purely for inspiration and browsing, without any purchase
to request information, a quote, or a custom project
to place an order for products that are currently available or made to order
Some purchases may be processed manually (e.g. via email). These Terms apply to all purchases of our products, regardless of whether they are initiated through a form, direct email, or any other channel we provide.

We reserve the right to decline any order or request, for example due to limited stock, safety considerations, or compliance with applicable law.
7. Pricing, Currency & Taxes
Prices are generally shown in PLN (Polish złoty). For some orders or destinations, prices may also be shown or converted into EUR; in all cases, we will clearly indicate the applicable currency before you confirm your order.
Shipping costs, customs duties, and taxes (if any) are either:
displayed at or before checkout, or
communicated in our quote/offer before you confirm the order.
For deliveries outside the European Union, you may be responsible for additional customs duties or import taxes imposed by your country. These are not included in our prices and are payable by you.
We may correct obvious pricing errors at any time. If you have already placed an order based on an incorrect price, we will contact you to confirm whether you wish to proceed at the corrected price or cancel the order.
8. Payment
We may offer different payment methods, such as:
bank transfer
card payments via a secure third-party payment provider
other methods clearly indicated during the order process
When using card or other online payments:
transactions are processed by third-party providers,
we do not store your full card details on our own servers, and
you must provide accurate and valid payment information.
Your order will usually only be processed once payment has been received or authorized.
9. Shipping, Delivery & Risk
We ship from Poland to selected countries, as specified on the Website or in our quote.
Dispatch times: because our work is small-batch and sometimes made to order, dispatch times indicated on the Website or in our communication are estimates.
Delivery times: transit times depend on the carrier and destination and are outside our direct control.
Risk of loss or damage to the products passes to you when:
products are delivered to the address you provided, or
they are collected by you or your representative.
Please inspect your parcel promptly upon receipt and inform us of any damage or issues as soon as possible (see section 11).
You are responsible for providing a complete and correct delivery address and for ensuring that you (or someone on your behalf) are available to receive the parcel. If a parcel is returned to us due to an incorrect address or failure to collect it within the carrier’s time limit, we may charge you for re-shipping or deduct reasonable return costs from any refund, where permitted by law.
10. Right of Withdrawal (EU/EEA Consumers)
If you are a consumer residing in the EU/EEA and you purchase products from us at a distance (online or by email), you generally have a 14-day right of withdrawal under applicable consumer law.
10.1. Cooling-off period
The 14-day period starts on the day after you (or a person indicated by you, other than the carrier) receive the products.
10.2. How to exercise your right of withdrawal
To exercise this right, you must clearly inform us of your decision to withdraw from the contract within the 14-day period, for example by:
sending an email to eko@heir.se with your order details and a clear statement that you are withdrawing, or
using any standard withdrawal form provided under your local law (if you prefer).
You do not need to provide a reason, but feedback is always welcome.
10.3. Condition of returned products
You must send back the products without undue delay and in any event no later than 14 days after informing us of your decision to withdraw.
To qualify for a refund under the right of withdrawal:
products should be unused, unburned, and in resellable condition;
all original packaging (including labels, safety information, and accessories) should be returned.
If the product has been used or damaged beyond what is necessary to establish its nature, characteristics, and functioning, we may deduct an appropriate amount from your refund to reflect the loss in value, as permitted by law.
If your order included any gifts, samples, or other promotional items supplied “free of charge” as part of that order, they are considered linked to the contract for the purposes of withdrawal. Where reasonably possible, you should return these items together with the main products. If you choose not to return them, we may deduct their reasonable value from your refund, where permitted by applicable law.
10.4. Exclusions
The right of withdrawal may not apply to:
custom or personalized products, such as bespoke blends or candles made to your specific requirements, if they are clearly personalized and unsuitable for standard resale;
products that, for health or safety reasons, cannot be returned once opened, where applicable under local law.
We will inform you clearly if an item you are ordering falls into one of these categories.
10.5. Refunds
If you validly withdraw from the contract:
we will refund you the purchase price and the original standard delivery cost (if applicable),
we may subtract any additional delivery costs resulting from your choice of a more expensive delivery method than our standard option.
Refunds will be processed without undue delay and within 14 days from the day we are informed of your decision to withdraw. We may withhold the refund until we have received the returned goods or you have supplied evidence of having sent them back.
Unless otherwise agreed, refunds will be made using the same payment method you used for the original transaction.
10.6. Return shipping costs
You are responsible for the direct cost of returning the products, unless we explicitly agree otherwise or the products are defective or incorrectly supplied.
11. Defective, Damaged or Incorrect Products
We take quality seriously, but if:
your parcel arrives visibly damaged,
products are defective, or
you receive an incorrect item,
please contact us at eko@heir.se as soon as reasonably possible, ideally with photos and a description of the issue.
If the product is defective or incorrectly supplied, you may be entitled to:
repair or replacement, or
a price reduction or refund,
in line with applicable consumer law (including statutory warranty rights in Poland and the EU). We will provide instructions on how to proceed and may cover return shipping in such cases.
Nothing in these Terms limits your mandatory consumer rights under applicable law.
If you purchase as a Business Customer:
- any statutory warranty rights (including liability for non-conformity of goods) are excluded to the maximum extent permitted by applicable law
- our liability for defects is limited to, at our discretion:
- repair,
- replacement, or
- refund of the purchase price for the affected products
In case of conflict between this paragraph and mandatory consumer protection laws, the latter shall prevail for Consumers only.
12. Candle Safety, CLP & Use
Our candles are designed for atmospheric home fragrance only. They are not intended as a primary light source, heating device, or for any other unconventional use.
By purchasing and using our products, you agree to:
read and follow all safety instructions on the packaging, labels, and on our “CLP & Safety” page
use the candle only as described (home fragrance in appropriate holders and conditions)
store products away from extreme heat, direct sunlight, and open flames
For safe use, you must in particular:
keep burning candles within sight at all times
keep out of reach of children and pets
place the candle on a stable, heat-resistant surface, away from fabrics and flammable materials
avoid drafts, fans, and air conditioning blowing directly on the flame
trim the wick to about 5 mm before each use
let the wax pool reach the edges of the glass on the first burn
do not burn for more than 4 hours at a time
do not move a burning candle or a candle with liquid wax
do not add foreign substances (such as fragrance oils, wax, or objects) to the wax pool
stop burning when approximately 10 mm of wax remains at the bottom of the vessel
Classification, Labelling and Packaging (CLP) information – including hazard statements, precautionary statements, and ingredients where required – is provided on:
product labels, and/or
dedicated CLP documentation linked on the Website.
Using the candle in ways that contradict these instructions, the CLP & Safety information, or common fire safety (for example leaving a flame unattended, placing it directly on or under flammable materials, modifying the wick or vessel) is considered misuse.
To the extent permitted by applicable law, we are not responsible for any damage, loss, or injury arising from:
use of the product contrary to the above instructions,
modification of the product after delivery, or
use in combination with third-party accessories that compromise safety.
This section does not affect your statutory consumer rights under applicable law.
13. Intellectual Property
All content on this Website, including but not limited to:
candle designs, scent compositions, and names,
product photography and visual identity,
brand marks, logos, typography, and colour schemes,
written content, copy, and creative descriptions,
is the exclusive property of E:KO ᛟ HEIR (or our licensors) and is protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.
You may not:
reproduce, distribute, modify, or create derivative works from our content,
use our brand names, scent names, or visual identity elements for commercial purposes,
without our prior written consent.
14. User Conduct
When using the Website, you agree to:
respect our creative work and intellectual property,
provide accurate information when contacting or ordering from us,
not use the Website in any way that is unlawful or harms our brand or other users,
not attempt to disrupt or compromise the security or availability of the Website (e.g. via hacking, automated scraping beyond normal use, or introducing malicious code).
15. Third-Party Links
The Website may contain links to third-party sites or services (for example, Instagram, Pinterest, payment providers, or shipping companies). These are provided for your convenience.
We are not responsible for:
the content,
terms of use, or
privacy practices
of third-party sites. You should review their terms and policies independently.
16. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law:
we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, including loss of profit, loss of data, or business interruption, arising out of your use of the Website or products
our total liability in respect of any claim related to a specific order is limited to the amount you paid for that order
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability where it would be unlawful to do so, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud.
Because our products are handcrafted and consume themselves during normal use (burning), the following principles apply:
Handcrafted variation
Minor variations in color, fill height, wax texture, or label alignment are a natural result of small-batch production and do not in themselves constitute a defect.Consumption through use
Candles and wax products are consumable goods. Reasonable consumption of wax, wick, and fragrance during burning is expected and does not give rise to a claim.Environment and burn conditions
Burn performance and perceived scent strength depend strongly on room size, ventilation, drafts, and compliance with care instructions.
We cannot guarantee identical results in every space if safety and care instructions are not followed.Inspection and evidence
We may reasonably ask you to:provide photographs or videos,
describe the conditions of use (duration of burn, wick trimming, placement), and
return the product for inspection
before deciding on repair, replacement, price reduction, or refund.
Misuse and non-compliant use
We may refuse or limit a claim where inspection shows that:the product was used contrary to our safety instructions or CLP & Safety information,
the product was altered or combined with incompatible accessories,
the product was severely mis-stored (for example, left open in direct sunlight or near a continuous heat source).
Such refusals will always be assessed in line with applicable consumer law.
Nothing in this section affects your mandatory statutory rights, including rights in respect of non-conforming goods under EU and Polish consumer law.
17. Governing Law & Dispute Resolution
These Terms are governed by the laws of Poland and, where applicable, the laws of the European Union.
If a dispute arises, we encourage you to contact us first at eko@heir.se to seek an amicable solution. If you are an EU consumer, you may also have access to alternative dispute resolution platforms in your country, including the EU Online Dispute Resolution platform.
Any disputes that cannot be resolved amicably may be brought before the competent courts of Poland, without prejudice to mandatory consumer law granting you the right to bring proceedings in your country of residence.
18. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time, for example to reflect:
changes in our products or processes,
updates in applicable law, or
feedback from our community.
The "Last updated" date at the top of this page shows when the Terms were last revised. Your continued use of the Website after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
19. Language
These Terms may be made available in both Polish and English.
For Consumers residing in Poland, the Polish language version of these Terms shall prevail in case of any discrepancy, inconsistency, or doubt as to interpretation between language versions, including in any dispute or complaint. The English version is provided for convenience and informational purposes only.
20. Shipping & Delivery
Shipping destinations
We currently ship orders only within Europe. Standard delivery is available to the following countries:
Austria, Bulgaria, Croatia, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Latvia, Lithuania, Netherlands, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain and Sweden.
We do not ship to the United Kingdom, Switzerland or countries outside Europe at this time. If you would like to place an order to a country not listed above, please contact us before placing an order so we can confirm if delivery is possible and on what terms.
Shipping methods
Orders are shipped using tracked courier services. The available shipping methods for your address are displayed at checkout and in your order confirmation email.
Shipping costs
Shipping costs depend on the destination country, shipping method and the size/weight of your order. The total shipping cost is clearly shown at checkout before you confirm your order and will also appear in your order confirmation email.
Unless expressly stated otherwise, shipping costs are charged per order (not per item) and are not included in the listed candle prices.
Delivery times
Estimated delivery times are:
- within Poland: usually 2–5 business days from the date of dispatch;
- to other European countries: usually 5–14 business days from the date of dispatch.
These timeframes are estimates only and are not guaranteed. We are not responsible for delays caused by the carrier, customs, force majeure or other circumstances beyond our reasonable control.
We normally process and dispatch orders within a few business days after confirming your payment. During busy periods, holidays or in case of limited-batch releases, dispatch may take longer. If we expect a significant delay in dispatch, we will let you know by email.
Failed delivery and incorrect address
You are responsible for providing a complete and accurate delivery address. If a shipment is returned to us due to an incorrect or incomplete address, refusal of delivery or failure to collect the parcel within the carrier’s collection period, we may charge you for re-shipping the order or, at our discretion, treat the order as cancelled and refund you the product price minus the original shipping cost and any return-to-sender fees charged by the carrier.
Risk of loss
The risk of loss or damage to the products passes to you when the order is delivered to the address you provided or collected from a parcel locker or collection point, as indicated by the carrier’s tracking information.
