This page provides CLP (Classification, Labelling and Packaging) information and safety warnings for our scented soy candles. The data is based on safety documentation from our fragrance suppliers and applicable regulations. In case of any difference between the printed label on your candle and the information on this page, the product label shall prevail.

1. General candle safety

The following safety rules apply to all our candles:

always keep a burning candle within sight, never leave it unattended
keep candles away from children and pets
place the candle on a stable, heat-resistant surface, away from fabrics and other flammable materials
avoid drafts, fans, and air conditioning blowing directly on the flame
trim the wick to about 5 mm before each burn
on the first burn, allow the melt pool to reach the edges of the glass
do not burn for more than 4 hours at a time
do not move a candle while it is burning or while the wax is liquid
do not add any foreign substances to the wax (extra wax, oils, objects)
stop burning when about 10 mm of wax remain at the bottom of the vessel or, in opaque jars, as soon as the metal wick base becomes visible.

2. CLP information for each candle

For each fragrance we list:

classification of the mixture (H statements)
precautionary statements (P statements)
additional labelling (EUH208 – allergens)

All fragrances are classified as hazardous to the aquatic environment.
Cold Orbit and Tobacco Velvet are additionally classified as skin sensitisers (H317).

2.1. Soy candle – QUILL LEATHER

Classification under Regulation (EC) No 1272/2008 (CLP):

H412: harmful to aquatic life with long lasting effects.

Precautionary statements:

P501: dispose of contents/container to an approved waste collection point in accordance with local regulations.
P102: keep out of reach of children.

2.2. Soy candle – NOCTURNE OUD

Classification (CLP):

Additional labelling:

2.3. Soy candle – NOMAD SUEDE

Classification (CLP):

H412: harmful to aquatic life with long lasting effects.

Precautionary statements:

Additional labelling:

2.4. Soy candle – PETROL VIOLET

Classification (CLP):

2.5. Soy candle – COLD ORBIT

Classification (CLP):

H317: may cause an allergic skin reaction.
H411: toxic to aquatic life with long lasting effects.

Precautionary statements:

P280: wear protective gloves/eye protection/face protection.
P302/352: IF ON SKIN: wash with plenty of soap and water.
P333/313: if skin irritation or rash occurs: get medical advice/attention.
P363: wash contaminated clothing before reuse.
P391: collect spillage.
P501: dispose of contents/container to an approved waste collection point in accordance with local regulations.
P102: keep out of reach of children.

The CLP information above refers to the finished candles (soy wax and fragrance blend).

Candles should only be used for their intended purpose and in line with the safety instructions.
